  • Individual Therapy

There is no limit to the issues which may be addressed individually in therapy. The goal of this type of therapy is to inspire intentional change and improve the quality of life enjoyed by the patient/client. To accomplish this Dr. Dame and her patients work closely to create a trusting relationship in which the patient can grow and develop.

  • Couples Therapy

A specialty, similar to family therapy, where dynamics and patterns are explored as a means of improving intimate relationships through improved communication skills. Dr. Dame is a systemic therapist who encourages couples to build strong and satisfying relationships.

  • Family Therapy

Family therapy is a specialized practice which focuses on family dynamics and patterns. Dr. Dame works with the whole family, or in sub-groups, to assist them in finding ways to better relate and meet the emotional and developmental needs of all family members.

  • Men's Issues

In Western culture, men are frequently left to deal with personal distress in isolation. This leaves them more vulnerable to depression and addiction. Dr. Dame provides a safe space where male patients are free to explore the challenges of being male in our society and helps them develop and practice skills which promote mental wellness.

  • Ageing Issues

Actress Mae West once said, “Aging is not for the faint of heart.” There is truth in this, and often younger family members are unable to relate to these specific challenges and fears. Dr. Dame gives aging patients space to talk about their worries and concerns, as well as helping them find solutions for common concerns.

  • Terminal Illness Counseling

Being faced with a terminal illness is one of the biggest challenges a human being can encounter. There are many questions and concerns an individual may have as they go through this challenging process. Dr. Dame assists patients living with terminal illnesses to approach this time in their lives with dignity and purpose, allowing them to leave behind an emotional legacy for those they love.

Every person, family, or couple comes with their own story. In therapy, we come to understand the underlying meaning of the story for each person and work together to create the necessary goals for change.
