About Dr. Dame
She/Her
With more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Dame uses her knowledge and training to assist people (individuals, families, and couples) in understanding their unique potential to change their life experiences by challenging how they think, feel, and behave.
Dr. Dame was born and raised in Calgary and has spent most of her adult life living and working here. Early on she developed a keen interest in problem-solving, human relationships, and the dynamics of power. As a result, she has dedicated herself to assisting others in improving their personal lives and their interpersonal skills.
Dr. Dame has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Couples and Family Therapy. On top of these, she also completed her Ph.D. in General Psychology. Dr. Dame’s specific area of interest for her disertation research was anxiety in childhood, and how teachers could develop a better understanding of their anxious students.
Besides devoting her professional life to the practice of psychology, Dr. Dame is a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoys swimming, camping and singing.

Treatment plans are developed based on the individual(s) involved and the presenting concern(s)
Treatment techniques are integrated and include but are not limited to: Systems, Solution Focused, Narrative, CBT, ACT strategies.
